Mader, Barbara (17 Feb 1973)

Miss Barbara Mader and Delmar Gumz were married Saturday, February 17, 1973at 2 p.m. in St. Anthony’s Church in Athens.

The Rev. George Geissler officiated for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Mader, Athens, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gumz, also of Athens. Mrs. Molovrh was the organist and soloist.

Thomas Mader was best man and Kenneth Riehle, groomsman. Ushering were Keith Schillinger and Jimmy Gumz.

The bride wore a floor length gown of sata peau in an empire A-line formal with chapel sweep train. Her profile headpiece held a cathedral veil and the bride carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

The attendants wore royal blue gowns and matching headpieces, and each had a colonial bouquet of royal blue and white carnations.

The dinner was held at St. Anthony’s School hall and the reception at the Skylite Club.

The bride graduated from Athens High School and the bridegroom from Colby High School. She is employed by Standard Container Company, Edgar, and he works for Yanke Construction, and is a professional diver.
