The Abbotsford High School forensic students who participated in the Sub-district Forensic Contest held at Granton High School March 9, 1973, received the following ratings:

- Poetry Reading – Dawn Zirngibl and Stan Liseicki, A rating.
- Original Oratory – Carol Colby, A rating.
- Prose Reading – Pat Merwin, B rating.
- Declamation – Leslie Singco, A rating.
- Extemporaneous Speaking – Fred Strathman, A ratting.

The five students involved in play acting: Laurie Mills, Don Nelson, Jim Polnaszek, Burt Schauer and Joan Suttner, all received A ratings.

The ten students who earned A ratings will participate in the District Forensic Contest to be held March 31, 1973 at the U.W. Campus in Stevens Point.

Mrs. Margaret Gorke, forensics coach, accompanied the students to Granton.
