Schlinsog, Londa (11 April 1981)

Londa Schlinsog and Dennis Kuehn were united in marriage in Zion American Lutheran Church ceremonies on the afternoon of Saturday, April 11. The Rev. Maynard Stokka officiated. The bride is the daughter of Carol Hubing of Rt. 2 Granton, and Stevyn Schlinsog, Rt. 1 Granton. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Kuehn, Rt. 1 Neillsville.

Following the wedding ritual, a dinner was held at the Wildcat Inn of Neillsville, followed by a reception and dance at the Neillsville American Legion Hall.

For the wedding, serving as maid of honor was Susan Nickel, a cousin of the bride from Chili. She was joined by Barb Voigt, a friend from Arpin, and Tammy Hubing, a cousin from Stoughton. Dale Kuehn, the groom’s brother from Neillsville, was best man. He was joined by Rudy Horvat of Willard and Loren Meddaugh of Granton, both friends of the groom. Ushering was Scott Schlinsog, the bride’s brother from Granton, and Victor Voight, the groom’s cousin from Arpin.

The bride chose a gown of silk organza and Venician lace featuring a crystal-pleated and ruffled neckline, long sleeves, crystal-pleated and flounced hemline that swept to a chapel-length train. Her fingertip-veil was of pearl and Venician lace and was scalloped around the edges. She carried a bouquet of white roses, peach daisies and baby’s breath. Her attendants wore blouson-style gowns in apricot knit with sunburst pleated skirts. They carried bouquets of peach roses, white daisies and baby’s breath.

The groom was attired in a light blue suit, white shirt and navy-colored tie. His attendants wore navy-colored suits, light blue shirts and matching ties.

Prenuptial events included two showers given by Susan Nickel and Barb Voigt and by Judy Foemmel and Barb Hubing.

The bride is a junior at Granton High School and her husband, a 1975 graduate of Granton High, is a logger. The couple will make their home on Rt. 2 Granton.
