Huth, Edna H. (23 November 1939 – 9 April 1981)

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon, April 13, for Mrs. Gene (Edna H.) Huth, 41, of Rt. 2 Granton. Mrs. Huth passed away at her home on early Thursday, April 9. Cause of death was a pulmonary embolism, apparently stemming from cancer.

The deceased was born on November 23, 1939, in the Town of Levis to Otto and Barbara (Neidermayer) Lindner. She received her education in the area and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1958. She then worked for Neillsville Memorial Hospital for several years.

On October 7, 1961, she married Gene D. Huth in Pittsville ceremonies. The couple farmed in the Town of Washburn for several years before moving to their present home, also in the Town of Washburn. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Surviving her, besides her husband, are four children, Pamela, Dawn, Shane and Travis, all at home; her mother, Mrs. Barbara Lindner, Granton; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Leta) Margl of St. Paul, Mn., and Mrs. Tom (Edith) Nauertz of West Bend; and a brother Leo (Betty Jane) Lindner, Eau Claire. She was preceded in death by her father, Otto Lindner.

The Rev. E.J. Keller officiated at Sherwood’s St. Paul’s Lutheran Church services. Offering special music at the service, including “Abide With Me” and “Go to Dark Gethsemane” were Rod and Corine Friedrichsen. Burial was made in the Town of Sherwood Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Bruce Winkler, Dave Wilke, Donald Hoover, William Buddinger, Jr., Charles Meier, Jr., and Mike Hoover. The Gesche Funeral Home of Neillsville was in charge of arrangements.

Attending the services were friends and relatives from St. Paul, Eau Claire, West Bend, Wisconsin Rapids, Mosinee, Milwaukee and the surrounding area.
