Meyer, Mary Louise (11 April 1981)

Mary Louise Meyer and Larry W. DuBois were united in marriage in Saturday evening, April 11, Candlelight ceremonies at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Northglenn, Colorado. Parents of the couple are Mrs. Wilhelm H. Meyer of Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Dubois, Lubbock, Texas.

The bride was presented to the altar by her brother, d/avid Meyer, Neillsville. The Re. Arnold Ahlman officiated with Lewis Krueger of Denver offering “The Wedding Song,” “Blessing” and “The Lord’s Prayer” as special musical selections; Floyd Timmerman of Denver was organist.

Shannon Short, a classmate of the bride’s from Nashville, Tennessee, was matron of honor. She was joined by Diana Wilson, Sioux City, Iowa, another schoolmate; and Beverly DuBois, the groom’s sister from Lubbock.

Bestman was rick Allen, a friend of the groom from Boulder, Colorado. Ushering were Frank Benzoni and Bill Relyea, both Denver friends of the groom.

The bride chose an organza-over-satin gown in a sleeveless style with shawl collar, scooped neckline, chapel-length train of the mantilla type and waist-length veil. Her attendants wore blue, long, sheer dresses with long sleeves. They wore flowers in their hair and carried bouquets of rose buds and baby’s breath. The groom, his attendants and the ushers were attired in blue tuxedos.

Following the wedding, the reception was held at the North Gate Hall. The couple then left on a wedding trip to Sante Fe, New Mexico. They will make their home in Westminster, Colorado.

The new Mrs. DuBois is a graduate of Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota, and is a secretary to the J.W. Brewer Tire Company of Denver. Her husband, an electrical engineer, is employed by Flack and Kurtz Consulting Engineers of Denver.
