Announcement is made of the engagement of Dawn M. Christian, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rube Christian, Columbus, to Kevin A. Kunkel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leopold Kunkel, Route 1, Colby. Miss Christian is a graduate of Columbus High School and received an associate degree in applied arts in 1978 from Madison Area Technical College, where she majored in clothing and textiles. She is employed by General Telephone of Wausau. Her fiance is a 1977 Colby High School graduate and a 1979 graduate of North Central Technical Institute-Wausau, where he was enrolled in architectural residential design program. He works at Menards in Wausau. The wedding date is September 24.
