The rain may have dampened the Loyal Corn Festival parade Sunday, but it didn't dampen the spirits of those who participated in that parade. Dawn Davel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Davel of Loyal, the 1983 Loyal Corn Festival waved and smiled during the downpour as George Brenner of Loyal drove. The queen's court members are Margaret Strey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Strey; Rose Rueth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Rueth; Cherrie Graham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Graham; Kelly Lewis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Al Lewis; Anne Fravert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Denny Fravert; and Alice Ward, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ward. All are of Loyal. A number of former Loyal Corn Festival Queens also attended the week-ends festivities, in honor of the festival's 25th year.
