Schmitz, Ann M. (08 July 1983)

Miss Ann Schmitz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Schmitz, and Marvin E. Haas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin E. Haas, Thorp. were married July 8 at St. Bernard's/St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, Thorp, with the Rev. John Schmitz of Ripon, uncle of the bride, performing the double-ring ceremony.

Marcy Larson provided music for the nuptials during which the bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a floor-length gown of fabric and lace with train and a veil of tulle and lace. In her cascading bouquet were silk blue roses, stephanotis, gardenias and baby's breath.

Mrs. Mary Schmitz of Minnesota was matron of honor and Joan Maier of Rozellville the bridesmaid. They had floral print jacket formals and each had a silk nosegay of flowers like the bride's.

Ronald Haas of Thorp was best man and Patrick Schmitz, Loyal, the groomsman.

An outdoor reception was July 9 at Marvin Haas home.
