Grewe, Teresa (10 August 1915 - 31 August 1983)

ABBOTSFORD -- Services for Mrs. Melvin (Teresa) Grewe, 68, of 305 Cedar St., Abbotsford, who died of an apparent heart attack at her home Wednesday, will be Saturday at the Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford.

Robert Ruprich of the Dorchester Jehovah Witness Congregation will officiate. Burial will be in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

The former Teresa Zaborowski was born August 10, 1915 in Gilman, to Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Stella) Zaborowski. She was a graduate of Gilman High School, later attended Taylor County Normal School and received her B.S. degree in art at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

She was married to Melvin Grewe December 21, 1940 in Walkon, Iowa. The couple farmed in Stetsonville area from 1940 to 1944, and then farmed in the Town of Holton, rural Dorchester, the past 39 years moving to Abbotsford in June. She was an elementary school teacher in Dorchester area schools for 46 years, retiring in 1980.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Don (Karen) Sandberg of Peshtigo; three sons, Larry of Scotia, New York, Alan of Dorchester and David of Abbotsford; her mother, Mrs. Stella Zaborowski of Abbotsford; two sisters, Louise Stelzel of Woodruff and Marge Green of Minneapolis; and eight grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her father and four brothers.
