Firnstahl, Diane (4 Aug 1973)

St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby was the setting for the August 4, 1973 wedding of Miss Diane Firnstahl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Firnstahl of Colby, and Dale Krebsbach, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Krebsbach of Colby.

Father Francis Rushman performed the 5 p.m. ceremony. Miss Connie Majewski of Cudahy was the organist and Miss Mary Neisius of Thorp was the vocalist and guitarist.

For her wedding day, the bride chose a gown of white sheer organza with Nottingham lace bodice, full bishop sleeves with matching lace, double ruffle on hem and full attached train. Her veil was secured by a Camelot headpiece trimmed with lace and pearls. Her bouquet was of blue spider mums, blue roses, lily of the valley, star flowers, stephanotis and trailing ivy.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Vicky Johnson of Colby. Bridesmaids were Miss Cindy Firnstahl and Miss Peggy Lamont of Colby, and Mrs. Dan Krebsbach of Wausau. They were attired in dresses of rainbow shades of blue, green, orchid and yellow cotton voile with white lace yoke, baby doll sleeves, ruffle neckline and ruffle trim with full gathered skirt. Each carried a voile parasol to match her dress, and wore matching springs of forget-me-nots in her hair.

The groom’s best man was Steve Brill of Wausau. Groomsmen were Keith Krebsbach and Mike Lamont of Colby, and Dan Krebsbach of Wausau. Jerry Teclaw of Greendale and Roger Krebsbach of Colby seated the guests.

Following the ceremony a dinner was served at the First United Church of Christ in Colby, after which a reception and dance were held at the Sword.

Mrs. Krebsbach is a 1072 graduate of Colby High School and attended the University of Wisconsin, River Falls. She plans to continue her education in the area. Her husband is a 1972 graduate of Colby High School and is employed at Packaging Corporation of America in Colby.

After a wedding trip through several wester sates, the newlyweds will be living at Route 1, Abbotsford.
