Genrich, Mr./Mrs. Otto (Gold - 29 Sep 1973)

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Genrich observed their golden wedding anniversary Saturday afternoon at Dorchester Municipal Hall with a reception from 2:30 till 5:30 for relatives. A luncheon was served at 4:30 p.m. to about 50 guests.

Mr. and Mrs. Genrich were married in Milwaukee on September 29, 1923, and came to live at Dorchester in 1925. They have two sons, Donald, Houston, Texas, and Randall, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and six grandchildren, all of whom were here for the anniversary observance. The children planned the reception for the honored couple.

Otto Genrich was born November 4, 1893 at Ironwood, Michigan. He came with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gust Genrich, to Dorchester when he was one year old. He received his education in the Dorchester schools. He was employed as a salesman for International Harvester Company prior to his marriage, and also worked as a mechanic for his father. He has been active in community affairs. His hobbies are hunting and fishing. He is a member of the American Legion and Fire Department.

The former Emma Andre was born February 21, 1898, at La Crosse, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Andre, and received her education in Athens. She is a member of the Woman’s Guild of Peace United Church of Christ, and of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Relatives attending the observance, besides the two sons and their families, include Mrs. Warren Lurdwell and Bruce, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Babcock, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Mannes, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Trautman and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Genrich and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Genrich, all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Gary Kronschnabl and family, Menomonee Falls; Mrs. Mike Balzer and Helen Ross, La Crosse
Dr. and Mrs. Terry Genrich and family, Caledonia; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Chapman and family; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Fenske and family, New London; Ivar Hozland, Minneapolis, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Brehm, Athens; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Brehm, Edgar; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Carpenter and Mary, Abbotsford; The Rev. and Mrs. Milton Petzold, Medford; and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Genrich, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Ludwig and family, Hugo Genrich, Elmer Genrich, and Miss Olga Genrich, all of Dorchester.
