Balciar, Dona Lee (30 July 1930 – 14 June 2022)

Dona Lee Balciar, 82 of Marshfield, passed away Tuesday, June 14th, 2022, at House of the Dove with family by her side. Dona was born July 30th, 1939, the daughter of Ross and Innis (Snyder) Stevens. She graduated from Loyal High School in 1957 and went on to UW Stevens Point where she obtained a Master’s Degree in Teaching. She was united in marriage to Andrew J. Balciar on June 25, 1960, in Loyal.

She went on to teach 4th grade at Madison Elementary School for 36 years, loving every minute of it. She truly enjoyed catching up with her former students. In her spare time she enjoyed playing bridge, going out to eat with family and friends and spending time at the cabin in northern Wisconsin.

Dona is lovingly survived by her husband Andrew J., daughter, Brenda (Roger) Gessert; and grandson Ross Gessert, all of Marshfield. Most of all Dona loved her family and she will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of House of Dove for their excellent care and compassion. As per her wishes, there will be no public service.
