Gasch, Marjorie Lynn (21 Sep 1973)

Walter Gasch gave his daughter, Marjorie Lynn, to Dale Ackerman Friday, September 21, 1973, in a 7 p.m. ceremony solemnized at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby. Father Louis Dietrich performed the rite. Sister Louise Marie was organist as the children of St. Mary’s Grade School sang.

The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ackerman of Route 1, Curtiss, and the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gasch, reside on Route 1, Colby.

The bride appeared in a floor length gown of white crepe, featuring an empire waist and accented with lace. A Camelot crown held her long veil train, accented with lace, and she carried a bouquet of blue roses and white carnations.

Miss Cindy Reynolds of Dorchester was maid of honor and Miss Marcia Meyer, also of Dorchester, was the bridesmaid. They wore gowns featuring bodices and sleeves of royal blue and silver glitter skirt, empire waist, and skirt of royal blue polyester. Their jeweled headpieces held royal blue net veils and each carried a long stemmed blue rose.

Serving as best man was Danny Ackerman of Curtiss, and Earl Tim, also of Curtiss, was groomsman. David Gasch and David Ackerman were ushers.

A reception, dinner and dance were held at the Colby Hotel following the ceremony.

The new Mrs. Ackerman is a Colby High School graduate. Her husband graduated from Owen-Withee High School and is a factory worker at Weyerhaeuser Company, Marshfield, where they will make their home at 143 South Central Avenue.
