George D. Heida of Abbotsford died Friday, September 21, 1973 at the Colonial Nursing Home at Colby.

Services for Heida were held Monday, September 24 at Polnaszek Funeral Home, Abbotsford. Rev. Kenneth Dix officiated at the 2 p.m. rite. Interment was in the Abbotsford Cemetery.

Heida was born December 29, 1886 in the town of Holton, Marathon County. His marriage to Kitty Hodge took place November 19, 1907, at Phillips.

He received his education in the town of Holton, and had farmed in the Abbotsford area.. He also worked at the Kennedy Grocery Store as a butcher. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church at Abbotsford.

Mrs. Heida survives, and is a resident of the Colonial Nursing Home at Colby. The couple had no children.

Mrs. Laura Daenicke of Abbotsford is a niece of the deceased.
