Morgan, Maurice (23 Oct 1907 – 30 Sep 1973)

Maurice Morgan of New Port Richey, Florida, a former Unity resident, died at his home their Sunday, September 30, 1973. His death was the result of an apparent heart attack.

Services will be held Friday, October 5at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Francis Rushman will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The body will lay in state at Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, beginning today (Thursday), at 1 p.m. General rosary will be said at 8 p.m. tonight.

Morgan was born at Unity on October 23, 1907. He attended schools in Unity and Marquette University. He was married to the former Hazel Allman October 16, 1948 at Waukegan, Illinois. He was employed at Geddings and Lewis Machine and Tool Company at Fond du Lac, as a project engineer, until his retirement in 1970, and was a member of the company staff club. He was also a member of Our Lady of Peace Church and the eagles Club of New Port Richey, and was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife and four children, Richard, Darrell, Maurice Jr., and Maureen.

A brother and his parents, William and Mary Morgan, preceded him in death.
