Schjoneman, Edith (24 Apr 1885 – 30 Sep 1973)

Mrs. John (Edith) Schjoneman, 83, Abbotsford, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, Sunday, September 30, 1973. She had been a patient at the hospital three weeks following hip surgery, her death resulting from old age complications following the surgery.

Services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity, with Reverend James Primley officiating at the 2 p.m. rite. Burial was in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

Mrs. Schjoneman was born April 24, 1885 at Romeo in the town of Brighton, Marathon County. She received her education in local schools.

The former Edith Ringquist was married to the late John Schjoneman in December 1907. They farmed in the town of Brighton. He died in 1945, and she moved into Unity. She had lived at Green Vista, Abbotsford, since 1968.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ladies LCW, and the Royal Neighbors of America.
