DORCHESTER -- Leona Beisner has been named as Hews-Herald correspondent for the Village of Dorchester area.

Mrs. Beisner replaces the late Catherine Pinter, who died in an accident in August.

Mrs. Beisner, a Stetsonville native, moved to Dorchester in 1938. The former Leona Bartz and Albert Beisner were married in 1938 in Dorchester and moved to the Beisner family farm near the village. Mr. Beisner died in 1979, and she moved back to the village in 1982.

Mrs. Beisner has three sons, Dennis of Colby, and Galen and Douglas, both of Dorchester. She also has four granddaughters.

The new correspondent is a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid, the Hilltop Homemakers Club, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Dorchester Senior Citizens. She also helps at the local Nutrition Center and enjoys doing fancy work and needlepoint, and "loves flowers."

Mrs. Beisner has acted as correspondent for the News-Herald during some of the winter months, as a temporary replacement for Mrs. Pinter.

Persons with news items from the Dorchester area may contact Mrs. Beisner.
