Two students have been named as Girls and Boys State Delegates from Owen-Withee
High School.
Delegates will be Carol Larson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Larson, Route 2,
Withee, and Scott Fritz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Fritz, Route 2, Owen.
Alternates are Kim Plautz, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Emil Plautz, Route 1, Owen,
and Arthur Hellert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hellert of Owen.
Selection, made by school faculty, is based on scholarship, community and school
participation, and good character.
Badger Girls State is scheduled at the University of Wisconsin June 11 – 17,
1978. Badger Boys State will be June 17 – 24, 1978 at Ripon College. The program
allows students from around the state to set up and study government matters.
The American Legion and Auxiliary of Owen are sponsoring the students.
Carol Larson will be unable to attended Girls Sate in June, so alternate Kim
Plautz will attend in her place.
