Seventy-two seniors of the class of 1978 will receive their graduation diplomas from Mr. Bertel Miller Friday evening, May 19, 1978 during graduation ceremonies at Own-Withee High School. The program will begin at 8:00 p.m.

Leading the class of 1978 will be class Valedictorian, Carol Paczkowski and class Salutatorian, Denise Klapatauskas. Twenty-three members of the class of 1978 are members of the National Honor Society. They are: Helen Mock, Diane Jarocki, Lori Doberstein, LeAnn Bruchert, Janic Pribbernow, Lori Poppe, Terri Niemi, Jim Strassburger, Jody Marcott, Debra Granquist, Jane Oehler, Lorraine Steiner, Kathy Cardinal, Brian Vedder, Charles Smith, Jane Nordlof, Lisa Gehrke, Linda Neumann, Tammy Bjornstad, Mary Devine, Mike Fritz, Brian Rohland, and Jeff Lindgren.

The class motto for the class of ’78 is ”What we are to be, we are now becoming,” and the class flower is the yellow carnation.
