One thousand eighty one boys, averaging seventeen years in age, and who are now
junior classmen in Wisconsin high schools, will attend Badger Boys State at
Ripon College Jun 17- 24, 1978, it was announced by Clyde M. Know of Brookfield,
the Director of Badger Boys State. This is the 37th Badger Boys State, and will
be one of the larger ones held since the inception of the program in 1939 by the
Wisconsin American Legion, assisted by various civic, fraternal and patriotic
organization from throughout the state.
Highlighting the week long program will be the appearance of Activing Governor
Martin G. Schreiber.
Representing Owen-Withee High School will be Scott Fritz and Art Hellert.
