Head Coach Bob Giesey of the Ripon College football team announced today that Bob Gajewsky, a graduating senior from Owen-Withee High School, will attend Ripon College next year and compete for a position on the “Redmen” football team.

Gajewsky, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Gajewsky, 519 North Paul, Owen, has earned many prep athletic honors, including Most Valuable Player (MVP) in his senior year of football, MVP in baseball his sophomore year, all-conference quarterback and basketball guard in his senior year, and defensive back in 1977. In addition, he also earned thirteen athletic letter from his high school. Gajewsky, who was coached in football by Virgil Oelke, also was a delegate to Badger Boys State in 1977.

In the two seasons that Giesey has been head coach at Ripon, the Redmen have placed first and second in the 1977 and 1976 seasons, respectively.

Ripon College is a private co-educational liberal arts college located in mid-Wisconsin. Since the first Ripon Athletic match in 1882, the college has championed the ideal that a sound body complements a strong mind, and the athletic programs are designed to illustrate that philosophy.
