Wilcenski, Frank J. (1895? – 12 Jun 1978)

A town of Withee native Frank J. Wilcenski, 83, Route 1, Gilman, died Monday, June 12, 1978 at his home.

He was born in the town of Withee and served in the U.S. Army during World War I. He married Lucille Herman June 7, 1921 in Thorp, and worked at Gilman Heading Mill until 1930, when he began farming, retiring in 1960.

Surviving are three sons, Alois and Norman, both of Gilman, and Raymond, St. Paul, Minnesota; two daughters, Mrs. Herbert Beck, Ladysmith, and Mrs. Joseph Lewien, Thorp; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Dobrzynski, Sheboygan Falls, and Mrs. Nellie Czyzewicz and Mrs. Ann Stroinski, both of Thorp; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 15 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Gilman. Burial followed in Meadowbrook Cemetery.
