Raczykowski, Hattie (1 Oct 1887 – 28 Dec 1973)

Services were held Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby, for Mrs. Hattie Raczykowski, 86, Unity. Rev. Francis Rushman officiated at the 11 a.m. service. Interment was in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Raczykowski died of an apparent heart attack Friday afternoon while visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Bradway, at Springbrook.

The former Hattie Kajdan was born October 1, 1887 in Poland. She came to the United States when she was 19, settling in Peru, Illinois. She was married February 2, 1910, to Joseph Raczykowski, and they lived in Peru before moving to Hayward, where they farmed for 20 years. They lived in the Greenwood area two years, then moved to a farm north of Unity, living there until 1956, when they moved to the village of Unity.

The couple observed their golden wedding anniversary February 2, 1960.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Wallace (Florence) Zeroczek of St. Paul, Mrs. Margaret Moore of Chicago and Mrs. Robert (Frances) Bradway of Springbrook; three sons, Bernard, Unity, Walter, Colby, and Joe, at home; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1960, and four daughters and two sons.
