Linda J. Kopecky, daughter of Mrs. Anne Witte, Riplinger, was recently elected president of the Alpha Sigma Sorority at Northland College, Ashland.

Miss Kopecky is a junior at the college and has been a member of the sorority for three years, during which time she held the positions of treasurer and vice president. She will be installed as president in January for a one year term.

Miss Kopecky was also named to the Dean's List for the fall semester with a grade point average of 4.0, or a straight "A" average for the term.
