The promotion of Gregory Mertens to manager of the Thorp Finance Corporation
office in Bloomer has been announced by Jean C. Broeren, Executive Vice
President.
Mertens joined the firm in 1971 at the Niagara office. He served there as an
outside representative and assistant manager. Mertens holds a Bachelor of
Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire.
A native of Dorchester, Mertens is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mertens, Route
2, Birchwood. His wife, Dolly, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hackel of
Colby.
