Zingen, Janet K. (4 Jul 1954 – 26 Apr 2022)

It is with great sadness that the Zingen family announces the peaceful passing of Janet Kay Zingen (nee Wehrman), on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at her home in Homer Glen, Ill. A celebration of Janet’s life will be scheduled for a later date Janet was born on July 4, 1954, in Fort Lee, Va. She was known for her kindness and compassion that she shared with everyone she came into contact with. Her greatest love was time spent with family, planting flowers in her yard, crafting, and watching the Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks. Janet left behind a lifetime of unfinished crafts and supplies that her family has no idea what to do with.

Janet is survived by her loving husband: Frank; children: Monica (Josh Beske) Kirk, Tracy (Ryan) Hubert, and Frank (Linzey) Zingen; grandchildren: Zach, Jake, Maddie, and Peyton Kay; grandpuppies, grandhorses, and a great-grandpuppy; siblings: Charlotte Hoops, Leonard (Ronda) Wehrman, Mary (Doug) Wahl, Sue (John) Cattanach, Tom (Sharlene) Wehrman, and Steve (Kris) Wehrman; godson Tyler Wehrman and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wilfred; step-mom Marcie Wehrman; step-mom Bev Wehrman; grandparents William and Martha Wehrman; mother-in-law Barbara Zingen; father-in-law Henry Zingen; mother-in-law and friend Trudy Zingen; sister June Wehrman; brother-in-law Tim Strebe; and brother-in-law Mike Zingen.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to APEX Palliative Care & Hospice Care, and Client Home Healthcare.
