Schultz, Donna Lea (17 October 1981)

The Rev. Ralph Stuebs officiated at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Globe ceremony on Saturday afternoon, October 17 for Donna Lea Schultz of rural Neillsville and Karl C. Stieglitz, rural Greenwood. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. William Schultz, Rt. 3 Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Tomas Stieglitz, Santa Barbara, California.

Special music at the service was offered by Karen Hoppa of Neillsville and Connie Hagedorn of Winona, Minnesota.

Ann Heiman, a friend from Marshfield, was the maid of honor. She was joined by Carol Kohlnhofer, a friend from Greenwood, Pat Kiernan, a friend from Marshall, Minnesota, and Barbara Stieglitz, the groom’s cousin of Wausau. Bestman was Dean Stieglitz the groom’s cousin of Greenwood. He was joined by Dennis Steffen and Harry Strong, both friends of Greenwood, and Bob Schultz, the bride’s brother of Neillsville. Ushering were William Stieglitz of Greenwood and Bill Schultz of Neillsville, brothers to the bride and groom.

The bride wore her mother’s wedding dress and an ivory laced veil and hat. She carried a cascade of red roses, miniature pink carnations, baby’s breath and ivy. Her attendants wore sky-blue knit, floor-length gowns with lace trim and pleated skirt. They carried white button mums, forget-me-nots and baby’s breath, adorned with white streamers.

Following the service, a reception, dinner and dance was held at the Greenwood American Legion Hall. The couple later left for an undisclosed honeymoon destination. The new Mr. and Mrs. Stieglitz will make their home at rural Greenwood.

The bride is a 1974 graduate of Neillsville High school and attended UJW-River Falls. She graduated from UW-Milwaukee in 1980 with a bachelor of nursing degree and is now employed by St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. The groom is a 1969 graduate of Dos Pueblos High School, Santa Barbara, California State University at Davis in 1973. He presently farms.
