The marriage of Miss Barbara Weiland and Bruce Klieforth, both of Abbotsford, wa solemnized Saturday, July 20, 1974 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church at 4 p.m., the Rev. Emil Hodnik officiating.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Weiland, Stratford, and her husband, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Irve Klieforth, Abbotsford.

For her wedding day the bride chose a white gown of sheer organza over taffeta with a border of lace trim, which was repeated in the long train. The two-tiered fingertip veil was held in place by a Camelot headpiece. She carried a bouquet of pink and lavender rosebuds and white gardenias.

Miss Karen Weiland, Stratford, attended her sister as maid of honor. She was attired in a pink floral print gown on a beige background with matching jacket, as was the bridesmaid, Miss Patricia Klieforth, Abbotsford, sister of the groom. Their headpieces were fashioned with pink baby breath flowers and each carried a long stemmed pink rose.

Assisting the groom were Edward Zwirchitz, Wausau, best man, and Randolph Klieforth, Abbotsford, brother of the groom, John Regele, Marshfield, and David Loucks, Abbotsford, ushered the guests to their seats.

Mrs, Martin Schultz played the organ during the wedding procession, and after the rings were exchanged Denise Loucks and Robert Jacobs sang “There is Love: and “Annie’s Song,” accompanied by Denise Loucks on the guitar.

Following the wedding a supper was held at the church hall, with a reception and dance at the Abbotsford City Hall.

The bride, a 1971 graduate of Stratford High School, is a dietary aid at Continental Manor, Abbotsford. The bridegroom employed at Cliff’s Equal Service Station, Abbotsford as a mechanic, is a 1970 graduate of Abbotsford High School.

The couple is making their home at 430 ½ West Spruce Street in Abbotsford.
