Finder, Lester Christian (30 March 1939 – 17 February 1999) With Flag

Lester passed away on 17 February 1999, in Alba Alabama.

Lester was born on 30 March 1939, to Louis C. and Olive Udell (Lawrence) Finder, and received his education at a country school and Neillsville Public School. After high school graduation, with the Class of 1957, Lester joined the Army, and served his country, part of that time in Alabama. He was retired from AL National Guard in 1992. He had worked for Dorsey Trailers since April 1972.

He married Lou Ellen Henderson on February 23, 1963, in Elba, Alabama. They had 3 children: Tammy is married and has 2 children – Sarah 6 and Ben 2 ½; Perry is disabled and lives at home, and Teri is a college student at Meriville, TN. (Information given by Lester, for our 40 year reunion.)

Lester was preceded in death by his father in 1962 and survived by his mother and a sister, Betty. He was laid to rest in the Evergreen Cemetery, at Elba, Coffee County, Alabama. (This information found on Find a Grave.)

Note: This fellow was a classmate of mine, graduating in 1957, from Neillsville High School. In my search of various sources I have found this information about him, while in search of classmates for our 65th reunion. Dmk)
