Clark Co-Military Branches (Efforts - 1982)

The U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard have many men and women from the local area in their ranks, In recent announcements from the military branches, the following local people received honors.

Andrew Stewart, son of Rita Stewart, of South Hendren St., Greenwood, has graduated from a U.S. Air Force (blotch) mechanic course at Chanute AFB, Illinois. Airman Stewart will now serve with the 321st Organizational Missile Maintenance Squadron at Grand Forks AFB North Dakota. He is a graduate of Greenwood High.

Danny McClung, son of Byrne and Carolyn McClung, Rt. 3 Neillsville, has arrived for duty at Fort Hood, Texas. Spec4 McClung is an army communications specialist with the 16th Battalion and previously stationed in Karlsruhe, West Germany. He is a 1973 graduate of Neillsville High.

Glen Zastrow, son of Florence Zastrow of 1709 Weber St. Merrillan, has completed U.S. Navy recruit training at Orlando, Florida.

Heidi Liebzeit, daughter of Roger and Mavis Liebzeit, Rt. 2 Greenwood, has reported for duty with the First Supply Battalion at Camp Pendleton, California. Heidi holds the rank of lance corporal in the Marines.

Tim Lightfoot, son of Jacob and Beverly Lightfoot, Humbird, has enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. A 1979 graduate of Lincoln High School at Alma Center. Tim will receive training mechanics after basics at Lackland AFB Florida.
