Kaczor, John B. (15 November 1923 – 14 February 1982)

Funeral services were held Thursday morning, February 18, for John B. Kaczor, 58, who died unexpectedly at his Neillsville home on Sunday, February 14.

The Rev. Joseph Henseler was to officiate at the 10:30 a.m., St. Mary’s Catholic Church rites with burial in the parish cemetery. The Gesche Funeral home of Neillsville was in charge of arrangements. Visitation was scheduled for Wednesday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday morning until time of services.

Kaczor was born on November 15, 1923, in the Town of Washburn to John and Louise (Mazor) Kaczor. After his education, he farmed with his parents until marrying Donnalean Boullion on February 2, 1949. He then worked in Milwaukee for several years before returning to the area, farming in the Town of Levis. He was a member of the Town of Levis board for many years and also worked as a school bus driver for many years. On September 10, 1977, his wife died; Kaczor then left farming.

On December 15, 1979, he married Mildred (Meissner) Zschernitz in Neillsville ceremonies. The couple made their home at 201 W. 19th St., Neillsville. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Surviving him besides his second wife, are two sons, Daniel and Cary, both of Neillsville; two daughters, Mrs. Timothy (Julie) Smith of Holmen and Mrs. Paul (Darla) Lang, Marshfield; and four stepsons, James and Todd Zschernitz, both of Neillsville, Eugene Zschernitz, of Des Plaines, Illinois, and Dennis Zschernitz of Madison. Joining them are two sisters, Mrs. Leon (Helen) Schultz of Larson and Mrs. Raymond (Sophia) Peterson of Naples, Florida; five brothers, Stanley, Thomas and Anton, all of Milwaukee, and Frank and Joseph, both of Neillsville; plus six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death, besides his first wife and parents, by a sister, Josephine.
