Haas, Paulette M. (3 August 1962 – 4 October 2022)

Paulette M. Haas, 60, of Owen, formerly of Thorp, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Aspirus Stanley Hospital in Stanley.

Paulette Marie Haas was born on August 3, 1962, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Wilfrid C. and Irene R. (Ciolkosz) Haas. She was raised and received her education in Thorp. She enjoyed attending Willow Ridge Daycare in Owen on Wednesdays, and loved working for the Outreach program helping with recycling.

She had many interests, but especially enjoyed coloring, writing, remembering everyone’s birthdays, playing with paper, listening to country music, watching football and listening to baseball, and loved her momma and daddy.

Paulette is survived by her mother, Irene Haas, of Thorp; her siblings: Thomas (Donna) Haas of Stanley, Kathleen Kobylarczyk of Thorp, Joseph (Shirley) Haas of Withee, Mary (Bill) Badzinski of Stanley, Kristine Stuttgen of Thorp, Karol (Alan) Debevec of Greenwood; her sister-in-law: Carol Haas of Thorp; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father; two brothers: Keith Haas and Allen Haas in infancy; and her brother-in-law, James Kobylarczyk.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022, at St. Hedwig's Chapel in Thorp. Rev. Stanislaus M. Antony will officiate, and burial will follow in St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery, with Paulette's siblings serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at the chapel on Friday, from 10 a.m. until time of service.
