Troutt, Danny J. (16 August 1945 – 11 October 2022)

Danny J. Troutt, 77, of Spencer, peacefully passed away at home with his loving wife by his side on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

Danny Jo Troutt was born on August 16, 1945, in Brownfield, Pope County, IL, the son of Lewis H. and Maude R. (Rentfro) Troutt. He was raised and received his education in southern Illinois. After completing his education, Danny enlisted into the U.S. Army on November 21, 1963, where he served overseas in Germany. He was honorably discharged on October 31, 1969. Danny was united in marriage to Linda S. Walkowiak on June 16, 1969. They moved to Eau Claire, in 1973, and then to Spencer, in 1976. Danny held various jobs throughout his life, but most of the time as a carpenter. He worked for Indianhead Community Action Agency in Clark County, then ran his own insulation business before retiring.

He had many interests, but especially loved his grandkids and spending time with his family, and hunting. Danny was a member of the North American Hunting Club and the National Rifle Association.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Linda, of Spencer; two sons: Danny L. (Rhonda) Troutt of Poplar Grove, IL and Steve (Carrie) Troutt of Spencer; five grandchildren: Christina Troutt, Shane (Amanda) Troutt, Tanner Troutt, Elizabeth Troutt and Courtney Troutt; one great-granddaughter: Natasha Troutt; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers: Donald, William "Bill", Hershal, Jackie, Paul and Terry Troutt; and five sisters: June Parsons, Clara O'Connor, Peggy Bacon, Norma Jean Troutt and Patty Ann Troutt.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 24, 2022, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Loyal, WI, with Rev. Emmanuel Famiyeh officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Loyal American Legion Post #175. Visitation will be held at the church, on Monday, from 10 a.m. until time of service.
