Gregorich, Leianna Mae (27 March 1982)

Leianna Mae Gregorich and Ronald Landwehr were united in marriage on March 27 in rites performed by the Rev. James Lesczynski at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. La Verne Gregorich of Willard and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Landwehr of Stratford.

The service was highlighted by special music by Cynde Scheuerman, a cousin of the bride; La Verne Gregorich, Jr., brother of the bride; and Margaret Gosar. The bride also sang a solo, “Ice Castles,” to the groom.

Elaine Trybula, the bride’s aunt of Willard, was maid of honor. Joining her in the bride’s party were Lynnette Gregorich, a sister of the bride from Willard; Jane Landwehr, the groom’s sister of Stratford; and Cheryl King, a friend of the bride from Stevens Point.

Randy Landwehr, the groom’s brother of Stratford was bestman. He was joined by David Boe, a friend from Chippewa Falls; Leon Gregorich, a brother of the bride from Willard; and Dale Landwehr, the groom’s cousin of Stratford. Ushering were La Verne Gregorich, Jr., brother of the bride from Willard, and David Landwehr, the groom’s cousin of Stratford.

Serving as ringbearer was Gene Empey, nephew of the groom from Dorchester. Flower girls were Juliette Opelt, cousin of the bride from Greenwood, and Lita Landwehr, niece of the groom from Stratford.

The bride chose a bouffant-styled gown of Chantilly lace with a Queen Anne Neckline, bishop sleeves and a tired skirt that swept into a chapel train. Her matching picture hat was trimmed with Chantilly lace and long veil. She carried four long-stemmed roses in a bed of greenery and white plumes. Her attendants wore gowns in a mauve rose color and which featured high, sheer necklines and sleeves of polyester and sheer lace. They each carried a red long-stemmed rose adorned with greens and baby’s breath. The groom was attired in a silver tuxedo as were his attendants. The flower girls wore pleated dresses. Each girl caried a basket of white daisies with pink and burgundy carnations.

Following the rites, a reception was held in the community hall, which was followed by a dinner at the church hall. A dance closed the evening at Loyal American Legion Hall. The couple then left on a wedding trip to the Twin Cities.

The bride is a graduate of Greenwood High School and of a summer theatre program at UW-Stevens Point. The groom, a Stratford High School graduate, is employed by Becker’s Feed Service of Stratford. The couple will make their home in Stratford.
