The Thorp Class of "82 celebrated their 40th Class Reunion on Saturday, October 15, 2022. The weekend opened on Friday evening with a small optional social gathering at "Cindy's" to visit with a couple of classmates who could not attend the next day's full functions.
Saturday morning started with a tour of the Thorp Historical Society. It did not disappoint. Society President, Sue Klapatauskas briefed us on the history of the society and the updates with the recent move to its present location. There are a lot of impressive relics and local business/ farming history in this building - our classmates Letterman's Jacket was on display also (I guess we're relics too-lol). Everyone should take the time to take a tour. It was well worth our time.
Next on the agenda was a tour of the Thorp School which was given by District Superintendent Angie Hanlin.

It was very gracious of her to give up part of her Saturday to give us the tour. She was very informative and it was truly enjoyed by all. The transitions that have been done to the school over the past 40 years are extensive and a photo was taken in front of the "mural" which is truly a part of our class's history.
The actual Class Reunion was held at "My Place Event Venue" on Hill Street in Thorp which is owned by Chris Frankiewicz. It was the perfect venue for our occasion. It provided privacy, parking, bathrooms, kitchen facilities and even our own fire pit (which was nice to have on this chilly fall evening). The program opened with a prayer and acknowledgement of the 10 (of 79) graduates who have passed before us. The evening proceeded with much fun, adult desserts, and camaraderie. Many re-connections were made and friendships re-kindled.

In Attendance were Julie (Pinley) Borek, Carrie (Brunett) Budzinski, Marie (Cuccia) Bodin, Renata (Palms) Ciokiewicz, Brenda (Serocki) Pogodzinski, Dawn (Andruskiewicz) Jacobson, Kim (Jacque) Lewien, Mike Lewien, Diane (Frinack) Slather and Ron Sitter, Paul Chmelik, Lisa Melcher, Tammy (Swanek) Hochmuth, Nancy (Pawlak) Dietrich, Candy (Biddle) Meeker, Mary (Rycerz) Oberle, Kay (Boie) Weih, Joe Czarnecki and Russell Haas, Gary Pszieczny, Jeff Turenne, Dave Jacque, Adam Niedzwiecki, Matt Grabowski, Mike Czech, Jim Ciolkosz, Mike Rosemeyer, Jenny (Jarocki) Bieno, Darrell Haas, Bruce Roytek, Dawn (Benzschawel) Wadzinski, Bob Szymanski, Gwen (Boardman) Beeley, Bill Raemaker and Frank Wadzinski, Mark Abramowicz, Rich Karpinski and Chris (Pogodzinski) Wissell.
