Strigel, Denise Ann (1 May 1982)

The Rev. Joseph Wagner officiated at the Saturday afternoon, May 1, wedding rites for Denise Ann Strigel and John Mark Luedtke. The service was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Auburndale. Parents of the couple are Marilyn Strigel, Auburndale, and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Luedtke, Rt. 2 Neillsville.

Special music for the service was offered by Jan Schmidt on the organ and Lois Wiesman, Darrid Strigel, the brother of the bride, presented his sister to the altar.

Judy Brandl, Arpin, served as maid of honor. She was joined by Tammy Carlson, Carol Haffenbredl and Kathy Sandley, all of Marshfield. On the groom’s side were James Luedtke, Marshfield, as bestman; Brons Ness of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Craig Miller of Marshfield and Daniel Luedtke of Neillsville. Ushering were Sharon Kremer and Kurt Luedtke.

The bride chose a long, silk gown with laced sleeves, pearled veil and bodice. Her attendants wore long dresses in a baby blue color with laced capes; they carried bouquets of blue carnations and baby’s breath.

Following the rites, a supper was held at the church, followed by a reception and dance at Marshfield’s Eagle Club. The couple announced that they would take a wedding trip at a later date.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Luedtke will make their home in Columbia Heights, Minnesota. She is a 1980 graduate of Auburndale High School and was employed by St. Joseph’s Hospital of Marshfield. Her husband is a 1979 graduate of Neillsville High School and is employed by Longview Fibre Company of Minneapolis.
