For her day the bride selected a white velvet gown with a high mandarin collar trimmed with Belgium lace and pearls, and the A-line skirt was trimmed with lace and pearl appliques. A crown headpiece secured her veil. She carried a colonial bouquet of red roses and white carnations sprinkled with baby’s breath.

Mrs. Paul Nixdorf, Eau Claire, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Donald Rusch, Stevens Point, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Dianne Kunze, Abbotsford, friend of the bride. Miss Wendy Johnson, Stanley, cousin of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid, and Miss Lori Ann Lueth, sister of the bride, was the miniature bridesmaid.

They were attired in green velvet gowns fashioned with lace bertha yokes edged with a matching ruffle, long fitted lace sleeves and empire waist. Fur headpiece and matching muffs completed their ensembles. The bridesmaids carried a poinsettia surrounded with holly leaves. Silver ribbon was centered in the muffs. The miniature bride and junior bridesmaid carried little baskets fill with Christmas flowers.

Attending the bridegroom were Paul Nixdorf, Abbotsford, brother of the groom, as best man, and Douglas Lueth, Dorchester, brother of the bride, and Garry Zimmermann, Ringle, friends of the groom, were groomsmen.

Allan Nixdorf and Darrell Lueth, brothers of the bride and bridegroom, performed ushering duties.

Following the wedding a reception and dinner and a dance in the evening were held at the Dorchester Memorial Hall in Dorchester.
