Voigt, Mr. and Mrs. Alan (Silver – 8 June 1982)

Mr. and Mrs. Alan Voigt, 800 East Second St., Neillsville, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 6.

A buffet supper and dance was held at the Clark County Fairgrounds on Saturday evening. The couple was surprised by their Neillsville friends with an old fashioned charivari including a wagon ride around the streets of the community.

Alan and Janice were married June 8, 1957, by the Rev. Schewe at the Granton Zion Lutheran Church. They have lived in the Neillsville area all of their married years.

They are the parents of a son, Tim Voigt, Neillsville, and a daughter, Tamela Shubert, Birmingham, Alabama.

Parents of the honored couple are Mr. and Mrs. James West of Neillsville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Gust Voigt of Loyal.

The attendants present for the anniversary were Kathy Haase of Neenah, Carol Moen of Nekoosa, Mrs. Lester Goke of Lansing, Michigan, Mr. and Mrs. James Voigt of Marshfield and Raymond Oestreich of Loyal. Those not present were Kirk Klemme of Michigan, Bonnie (Hughes) Wagner of Washington, Bettie (Hughes) Scheffer, Canada and Karen (Fox) Stanton of Texas.

Out of town guests were from Neenah, Lansing, Michigan, Marshfield, Loyal, Spencer, Waupaca, Mayville, Lindsey, New Berlin, Fountain City and Granton.
