Steve Kadonsky, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Kadonsky, Abbotsford, has been selected to receive one of three $400 Harold Perry awards at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, where he is a junior majoring in accounting.

The Perry awards were established in December by C.I.T. Financial Corporation, with which Perry has been associated for 21 years prior to his 1974 retirement. The company made a grant to the Whitewater State University Foundation in recognition of the University’s contribution to Perry’s business success. The Perry awards go to students in the College of Business and Economics of outstanding “citizenship and character, potential for success in business, and leadership ability.”

Kadonsky has been an honor student while carrying what is normally an overload of credits, and expected to graduate in six semester and one summer session. He has been active in forensics, Navigators, and intramural wrestling, served as assistant wing representative for the dormitory council, and is photographer for Accounting Society and business manager of University Photo Staff.

He has been very active in 4-H, winning the Achievement Award at county level for community work, the Key Award at district level for community work, and was a delegate to the National Congress for state recognition in the area of safety. He served as a delegate to a citizenship short course in Washington, D.C. in July 1973, and has been elected to many 4-H boards, committees, and councils.
