On October 30 at 6:30 p.m. the Thorp High School Cardinal Chapter of the
National Honor Society inducted four students into their membership. This year's
inductees are Landon Penk, Logan Hanson, Kendall Luzinski and Elizabeth
Frankewicz.
The National Honor Society is a nationwide organization for high school students
in the United States and outlying territories, which consists of many chapters
in high schools. Selection into the society is based on four criteria:
scholarship, leadership, service and character.
To meet criteria for National Honor Society Membership at Thorp High School,
students in 10th, 11th and 12th grades must be in attendance at Thorp High
School for at least one semester preceding induction. Students are eligible for
consideration for National Honor Society membership if they have a minimum
cumulative GPA of 3.5. These students are asked to fill out an activity form
listing their participation in extracurricular activities, leadership positions
held, community involvement, work experience, awards/recognition received, and
any other information the potential member feels is important.
