In a 6:30 p.m. ceremony May 30, 1975 at First Presbyterian Church, Wausau, Judith Ellen Payne became the bride of Dean Albert Podevels, Schofield.

Parents of the couple are Mrs. William Payne, 1002 McClellan Street, Wausau, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Podevels, Route 2, Colby.

Attendants for the couple were Barbara French, Denver, Colorado, sister of the bridegroom, and William E. Payne, Jr., Minneapolis, brother of the bride.

A reception and dinner were held at Howard Johnson’s, Wausau, following the ceremony. A dinner-dance was held the following night at Unity Memorial Hall.

The bride is a 1971 graduate of Wausau East High School, and was graduated in May from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and mass communications. The bridegroom is a 1967 graduate of Colby High School and a 1972 graduate of UW-Madison, with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed as a test engineer in research and development at Drott Manufacturing, Schofield.

The will live at Route 2, Mosinee.
