Brothers Buy Trucking Business (Jun 1975)

R. Neal Melvin and James Melvin have purchased the Francis Melvin Trucking
business from Ruth Melvin. Effective June 15, 1975, the company will operated as
a partnership under the name Francis Melvin Sons.
The brothers stated the operation of the trucking company and the operations of
the other family businesses. Francis Melvin Inc. and F.M. Sand and Gravel, Inc.
would basically operate the same as in the past with no major changes planned
for the near future.
The firm now operates ready mix plants in Abbotsford, Medford, Owen, Thorp,
Greenwood, Stanley, Prentice and Phillips. A wide variety of construction
services are also available, including excavating, bulldozing, gavel, hot mix
blacktop, and concrete blocks.
