Hoffman, James Albert “Jim” (18 January 1937 – 11 December 2022)

James A. “Jim” Hoffman, 85, of Marshfield, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at his home in Marshfield.

James was born at home in Unity on January 18, 1937, to Albert and Ellen (Morrison) Hoffman. He was a 1955 graduate of Colby High School. He was the owner and operator of a dairy farm.

He enjoyed playing card games such as 7-Up, Pinnacle and Sheepshead. He supported the local 4-H program. He liked to watch high school basketball. He enjoyed taking care of his dogs, ponies, horses and Shetland ponies.

Jim is survived by his sister, Winifred Kerksieck and his nieces and nephews, Robert (Dinah) Kerksieck, Phil Kerksieck and Geralyn Kuehn.

He is reunited in heaven with his parents, Albert and Ellen Hoffman and his sister, Dorothy Hoffman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Spencer with Rev. Barry Saylor officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Tuesday from 12 Noon until time of service.
