Dix, Lori Ann (24 July 1982)

The Rev. Frank Hinebaugh officiated at Chili’s Immanuel United Methodist Church wedding ceremonies for Lori Ann Dix and Merle Alan Rose. The nuptials were shared on Saturday afternoon, July 24. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dix, Jr., of Chili and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Rose of Granton.

Special music at the serviced was provided by Helen Grimm, Mark Lavey and mike Bletsoe.

Serving as maid of honor was Sheri Dix of Chili. She was joined by Julie Dix of Chili, Cheryl Sternitzky of Dallas, Debra Dix of Port Edwards, Rose Ann Chriske of Plover and Kelly Hoesly of Granton.

Serving as best man was Mike Bymers of Spencer. He was joined by Jim Stauffacher of Maple Grove, Minn., Bo Hanuszczak of Granton, Tom Dix of Chili, Harlan Rose and Randy Wesenberg, both of Marshfield. Ushering were Rick Dix of Colby and Rodney Naedler of Granton.

The bride chose a gown of sheer organza and featuring a Queen Anne neckline and pleated lace flounced hemline that swept to a chapel-length train. She also wore a matching lace picture hat with fingertip-length veil and carried a cascade of ivy, pink and yellow sweetheart roses, pastel flowers and baby’s breath. Her attendants wore pink, blue, yellow, lavender, peach and green gowns of chiffon, featuring stand-up collars and front and back yokes of white lace with scalloped edging. They carried white fireside baskets filled with daisies, pompoms and baby’s breath.

Following the sharing of vows, a reception, dinner and dance was held at the Village Plaza in Spencer. The couple then left on a trip to southern Wisconsin and Illinois.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Rose will make their home at Rural Chili. She is a 1979 graduate of Granton High School and is employed as a nursing assistant at Neillsville Memorial Home. Her husband, a 1978 graduate of the same school, is employed by Clover Cream Dairy at Marshfield.

Prenuptial events included showers hosted by the United Methodist Women of Chili and by co-workers at Neillsville Memorial Home.
