Schoelzel, Pamela Jane (1 October 1983)

The Very Rev. Raymond J. Pedretti officiated at the October marriage ceremony at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby, where Miss Pamela Jane Schoelzel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Schoelzel of Colby, was given in marriage by her father to Robert Michael Groebner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Groebner, Oakdale, Minnesota.

Carol Talley was organist and Barb Alt and Dave Edwards were singers.

The bride had a Queen Anne gown of chiffon and lace with chapel train, a matching two-tiered veil of tulle and lace and a bouquet of red roses and baby's breath.

Miss Ellie Pfeiffer of Lake Villa, Illinois, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Sue Schoelzel of Winona, Minnesota, Miss Donna Danen of Colby, Miss Lori Groebner of Oakdale, Minnesota, Mrs. Maureen Graff, Stetsonville, and Miss Debi Zrutskie, Schofield. Amy Welch was miniature bride. The adult aides had wine formals with lace jackets and carried parasols.

Michael Duppong of Oakdale, Minnesota, was best man. Groomsmen were Dan Schoelzel of Winona, Minnesota, Bob Schoelzel of Stevens Point, and Brian Duppong of Oakdale, Minnesota and Greg Hirsch, Landfall Village, Minnesota. Miniature bridegroom was Jason Welch and ushering were Tom Schoelzel of Wausau and Ron Kastner of Lakeville, Minnesota.

The reception, dinner and dance were at The Sword, Colby. The newlyweds, who plan a wedding trip at a later date, are living in Newport, Minnesota.

The bride graduated in 1979 from Colby High School and was a dental assistant for Dr. N.O. Jackson of Colby. Her husband, an aviation maintenance mechanic, graduated in 1978 from Tartan High School, Oakdale, Minnesota, and this year from Winona Aviation Training Center, Winona, Minnesota.
