Rannow, Otto (20 Nov 1892 – 28 Dec 1976)

Funeral services were held last Friday for Otto Rannow, age 84, of Colby.

The Rev. Robin O. Fink officiated at the 2 p.m. services at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. Burial followed in the Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Rannow died Tuesday, December 28, 1976 at his home.

He was born November 20, 1892 in Doon Lake, Minnesota. He married Clara Baumgartner on March 30, 1916 in Acoma, Minnesota.

After their marriage, they farmed in Minnesota for a while. He operated a harness and shoe shop in Minnesota. In 1921, they moved to Stetsonville, where he again operated a harness and shoe shop until moving to Colby in 1928, operating a restaurant. In the later years he farmed and did general labor and worked with his sons in a cabinet and supply business in Colby.

Mr. Rannow was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Colby.

He is survived by his widow; two sons, Arnold and Howard, both of Colby; one daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Leona) Rosinski, Cicero, Indiana; 12 grandchildren; one brother, William, Hutchinson, Minnesota;; three sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Helen) Dunner, Mrs. Paul (Mayme) Boettcher and Mrs. Art (Martha) Remms, all of Hutchinson, Minnesota.

One son preceded him in death.
