Sundermeyer, Leonard F. (25 March 1913 - 30 October 1983)

ABBOTSFORD -- Leonard F. Sundermeyer, 70, Route 1, Abbotsford, died Sunday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. He had been admitted Saturday.

Services will be Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford. The Rev. Daniel Ahrens will officiate. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford.

He was born March 15, 1913 in Cylinder, Iowa, to the late Mr. and Mrs. C.W. (Emma Schandle) Sundermeyer. He married Helen Sandve December 1, 1913 in Randall, Iowa. She survives.

The couple farmed in the Ellsworth and Stray City, Iowa, areas for 11 years, moving to Bode, Iowa in 1942 where they farmed for 19 years. In 1961 they moved to a farm in the Town of Holton, rural Abbotsford.

A member of Christ Lutheran Church, Mr. Sundermeyer is also survived by two daughter, Mrs. Lillian Hinz of Colby and Mrs. Jack (Lois) David of Humboldt, Iowa; two sons, Harland of Thermopolis, Wyoming and Larry of Abbotsford; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Marie) Wendt of Branchville, New Jersey and Leona Swenson of Fairmont, Minnesota; and three brothers, Orville of Fairmont, Lester of Brahman, Minnesota and Arthur of Cambridge, Minnesota.

He was predeceased by two brothers.
