Schiferl, Felix H. (19 Apr 1914 – 17 Mar 1977)

Funeral services were held Monday, March 21, 1977 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Abbotsford, for Felix H. Schiferl, age 62, Abbotsford.

Officiating at the 11 a.m. services was the Rev. Emil Hodnik. Burial was in the Abbotsford Cemetery.

A parish rosary was held Sunday evening at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford

Mr. Schiferl passed away, Thursday, March 17 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

He was born April 19, 1914 in Marshfield, and attended Marshfield schools. He married the former Frances Liazuk at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Gilman on April 25, 1938.

Mr. Schiferl lived in Marshfield until 1938, then operated a farm in the Town of Mayville until 1966, when the family moved to Abbotsford.

He was a member of St. Bernard’s Church.

Besides his widow, he is survived by four sons, James and David, both of Abbotsford, Ronald, Eau Claire, and Richard, Minneapolis; five daughters, Mrs. Lowell (Janet) Johnson, Oshkosh, Mrs. Donald (Barbara) Haddix, Santa Rosa, California, Mrs. Joseph (Elizabeth Mulhiani, Kenya, Africa, Mrs. Gary (Charlotte) Kulas, Valders, and Annette Schiferl, Cincinnati, Ohio; on brother, Bernard, Marshfield; two sisters, Mrs. Romen (Lucille) Straub and Mrs. Walter (Evelyn) Hauke, both of Marshfield, and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother.
