Larsen, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold (50th Anniversary - 16 October 1983)

Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Larsen of Birnamwood, formerly of Owen, observed their golden wedding anniversary October 16 in Stevens Point.

Dr. and Mrs. John Larsen hosted a cocktail party for their parents, relatives and friends, and the anniversary couple entertained at a buffet dinner at the Sky Club for their guests.

The Larsens have three children, Dr. John Larsen, Stevens Point; Mrs. John (Patricia) Young, Grosse Pointe, Michigan; and Mrs. David (Patricia) Weller. Elkhart Lake. There are 15 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

The Larsens now live in Birnamwood. Larsen is a former teacher in the Owen School System and later purchased the IGA Store. In 1957 he sold the store to the Gordon Thorsons and moved to Birnamwood, returning to teaching. In 1972 he retired.
