Clifford, Rev. Tom

The Rev. Tom Clifford is the current pastor of Neillsville Bible Church, which meets Sunday mornings and Tuesday evenings on the floor of the former Neillsville Bank building.. The church has been organized recently under the auspices of the Independent Fundamental Churches of America.

The Rev. Clyde Brogan, director of the parent denomination's Wisconsin Church Extension, has been conducting Sunday services and the Rev. Frank A. "Joe" Everett II of Calvary Bible Church, Marshfield, and several elders have been assisting with Tuesday evening Bible study.

Pastor Clifford, a native of Oshkosh, has the experience of re-establishing a 100-year-old church, which considered disbanding. In less than three years, the church was self-supporting.

During the past four years, he helped establish and pastor Northland Fellowship Church, Ladysmith. His specialties are informal Bible studies and counseling. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Crescent Lake Bible Camp, Rhinelander..

The Cliffords have purchased a home in Neillsville and Mrs. Clifford will help develop the church. The Cliffords have three children, Mark, 23, a student at Nicolet College, Rhinelander; Mrs. Cheryl Whittington, 22, of Bruce; and Paul, 18, serving in the U.S. Army. Mrs. Clifford has 15 years of experience in teaching full-time and six in substitute teaching.
